Short description of the project: Joint functional and spacial reorganization of the three faculties building and purchase of scientific-research equipment.
Objectives and expected results: The project’s general objective is functional integration of the University of Split’s components, in particular all three partners of this project in areas of scientific research and intelligent specialization, focusing on health, sustainable environment and energy, engineering, biotechnology and biochemistry. Specific Purpose is: Organizational reform of the scientific-research sector at the University of Split, PMF-ST, KTF-ST, PF-ST with an emphasis on developing applied scientific cooperation with the economy and the common use of scientific research infrastructure; Improvement of efficient energy use, renewable sources, a system of unified management of the three faculties' building in order to reduce costs of maintenance, energy and use of all premises, laboratories and scientific research equipment; Raising the level of scientific-research papers, projects, innovations and patent applications by finding a market niche for them.
Expected project results are: Implemented organizational reform of the research and development sector at both the Beneficiary and Partners, established unified management system of outputs, research and development of the acquired scientific and research infrastructure, established system of cooperation on collaborative research and projects with the economy and research centers in Croatia and abroad; building’s increased energy efficiency of and upgraded laboratories for the purpose of implementation of new equipment, reconstructed network and energy infrastructure; acquired specialized scientific research equipment; permanent activities in the project presentation to the interested public; increase in number of scientific research papers and projects, number of researchers, as well as cooperation agreements with the economy and established research and development offices
