DeepTech forum, which presented start-up and spin-off projects, based on developing space technologies were, took place at Faculty of Maritime Studies on May 25.

- The forum was organized by University of Split, Faculty of Maritime studies, Starbust ltd. (Paris) and Đuro Đaković Group. This is the beginning of cooperation in space research with the aim of setting foundations for organizing, or establishing the Croatian Space Agency, at the University, that is, right here in Split. EU countries’ investment in space technologies is important, and Republic of Croatia, as a young member, is only beginning in this field. This is the start of joint work between Croatian universities and partner companies, in financing space-related projects and developing new technologies.

Forum was attended by Sandra Budimir, CEO of StarBust ltd., Marko Ćosić, Đuro Đaković Group’s Board of Directors President, Zvonimir Frka Petešić, Head of Prime Minister’s Office, Stipe Čogelja, Deputy Prefect of Split-Dalmatia county, and numerous dignitaries from France, Sweden, Croatia as well as young researchers.
