University of Split’s ambitious project, worth 3 million euros, connecting scientists and innovators across Europe

University of Split was approved an EU project aimed at strengthening scientific research capacities and cross-sectoral cooperation, financed from the WIDERA Horizon Europe program (Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area). The project is worth more than 3 million euros, and it will last as long as 48 months.

As a coordinator, University of Split will join forces with reputable partners Steinbeis and Schiller & Mertens from Germany, CERIC-ERIC from Italy, ASTP from the Netherlands, Acrosslimits LTD from Malta and universities of Gdansk and Malta, with which we already cooperate in SEA-EU Alliance, in order to establish a quality framework for exchange of R&I talents between sectors.

Main goal of the ERA SHUTTLE project is to strengthen scientific innovation capacity, connecting academic and non-academic communities among partner countries. The project will establish a high-quality framework for cross-sectoral exchange of personnel in science and innovation (R&I talents), implement activities of referring personnel to non-academic institutions abroad, as well as numerous activities transferring knowledge and strengthening research and innovation capacity in Widening countries.

With this project, University of Split is becoming a leading institution in cross-sector exchange of talents and knowledge, with the potential to create innovative solutions benefiting the entire society.
