Marking the Faculty’s Day and as part of celebrating 70 years of kinesiology study in Split, a formal session of the Faculty of Kinesiology took place on Wednesday, May 15, in Croatia House’s concert hall Ivo Tijardović.
The session was attended, and other guests addressed by, Deputy Mayor of Split, Antonio Kuzmanić, vice prefest of Split-Dalmatia County, Stipe Čogelja, State Secretary at Ministry of Science and Education, Ivica Šušak, and University of Split Rector, prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D., all of whom were presented with plaques for exceptional contribution to Faculty’s work, by its dean, prof. Frane Žuvela Ph.D.
In his speech, Faculty of Kinesiology’s Dean thanked all guests, current and former employees, representatives of numerous sports associations and other University of Split faculties, as well as Faculties of Kinesiology from Zagreb and Osijek’s managements.
During the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were also presented to retired faculty employees, dean's awards for the past academic year to students, and awards to professors.
