The ceremony marking 64th birthday of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Shipbuilding, Split, (FESB) took place on June 7, 2024.
At the ceremony, dean's awards were given to Faculty’s most successful students for the academic year 2023/2024.
For the first time, in memory of the prematurely deceased professor and Dean, the prize for best diploma thesis defended in the academic year 2022/2023, "Srdjan Podrug", was awarded. This award recognizes Faculty’s students who, with their graduate theses, improved teaching, scientific and professional activity of the Faculty, achieving excellence stimulating and inspiring for other students.
Certificates of appreciation were also awarded to secondary schools from which most graduates completed one of Faculty's study programs in the academic year 2022/2023. and letters of thanks to companies that employed large number of students who completed FESB in the previous year.
Finally, the Faculty thanked its employees who retired in the past year.
In the afternoon, from 6 to 9 p.m., in fields next to FESB, a football match was played between student teams and employees’ exhibition match: Mechanics - Electricians.
