On May 24, Faculty of Science (PMF) celebrated its day, or the 79th anniversary, at the solemn session of Faculty’s Council in Three Faculties Building’s large amphitheatre.

On that occasion, prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D., University of Split’s rector, emphasized PMF’s important role in educating teaching staff, and particularly referring to scholarships that go to students being educated in occupations which are in high demand. He invited students to take advantage of opportunities to visit foreign institutions, in the framework of SEA EU Alliance, as well as mobility programs, to see what it's like abroad and return to homeland enriched with new experiences.

In his address, Prof. Mile Dželalija Ph.D., Faculty of Science’s dean, referred to excellent results and achievements by Faculty’s employees and students, for the benefit of academic and wider community.

- Increased number of students can certainly be attributed to numerous activities of employees and students directed at both primary and secondary school pupils. It is also worth mentioning that diversity of our study programs, possibilities of continuing studies at graduate level, shortage of professions we are educating for, or the rate of employability of our students... contribute to this - said vice dean Radobolja.

Faculty’s Day was also an occasion to award prizes and awards.
