An agreement on cooperation has been signed between the University of Split and Bogomolets National Medical University of Ukraine. It was ceremonially signed on September 24, 2024, by rectors of both universities, Prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D. and Prof. Yurii Kuchin Ph.D., thereby formalizing long-term academic and scientific collaboration between these two esteemed institutions.
Key elements of the agreement include the exchange of scientists and researchers, joint research projects, publication of scientific papers, joint workshops, conferences, and symposiums, academic and educational activities, providing support for Ukrainian scientists, international cooperation, and promotion.
The collaboration was established in the framework of "Giving Voice" project, which aims to provide support to Ukrainian researchers in publishing papers on the war in Ukraine. Project leaders are Prof. Damir Sapunar Ph.D. from School of Medicine, University of Split, and Prof. Livia Puljak Ph.D. from Croatian Catholic University. Through this initiative, efforts are made to enable Ukrainian scientists to continue their research work and publish their findings in international scientific journals, despite challenges posed by the war.
"This agreement reflects our shared commitment to science and research and strongly supports efforts of our Ukrainian colleagues to have their voices heard on the global scientific stage. We are particularly proud that our School of Medicine has taken on an important role in this project," stated the University of Split’s Rector of the, Prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D.
