University of Split hosted a delegation of 21 students from Germany’s Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS). The visit was part of a study trip focused on exploring European Union’s impact on Croatian society, governance, and higher education.
The group consisted of students from several German universities, including University of Cologne, University of Bochum, University of Passau, University of Münster, University of Nuremberg, University of Frankfurt and University of Düsseldorf.
In the spirit of interdisciplinarity promoted by the Foundation, participants came from various academic fields, including law, educational sciences, economics and medicine.
The initiative was led by Sarah Bermann, of the European University for Wellbeing’s (EUniWell) chief student officer, who came to Split as a Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s scholarship holder. The group’s main goal was to understand how the European Union is shaping academic and student life in Croatia, especially regarding participation in European university alliances, such as SEA-EU, of which University of Split is a member.
For University of Split, this visit represented another step in strengthening dialogue and cooperation among European university alliances, connecting SEA-EU’s and EUniWell’s networks in a shared vision of student-oriented higher education.
