Eighth edition of the two-day DUMP Days conference opened May 23 at FESB. As already known, it is a free IT conference for students, organized by the Association of Young Developers, DUMP, in which students are introduced to current technologies, occupations and opportunities offered in the IT world.
This year, visitors could attend as many as 14 lectures by Croatian and international experts - from Daniela Jović, talking about the first Croatian satellite, Daniel Ackermann, successful Croatian entrepreneur with stories about failures and why it is sometimes good to make mistakes, to Nataša Davenport and her story of how she found herself at Google.
In addition to lectures, 6 workshops were also organized; some of them on artificial intelligence, writing CVs and defending against hacker attacks, as well as two panel discussions. In one of them, company representatives will talk about the current state in IT and how to get a job, while in other, a known TikTok influencer Dario Marčac participated.
DUMP Days are an opportunity to network and get to know the leading IT companies, and 27 of them will be presented to those interested. In conversations with employers, students will see firsthand what knowledge and skills are needed to secure a job in IT.
Novelty of this year's DUMP Days was a hackathon, organized for the first time, in cooperation with Croatian startup Daytona, and on the conference’s second day visitors could look forward to valuable prizes.
