ACADEMY OF ARTS IN SPLIT (UMAS) CELEBRATING 25 YEARS: OVERVIEW OF EVENTS IN NOVEMBER 2021

Next year, 2022, will mark the Academy of Arts in Split’s twenty-fifth anniversary (1997-2022). The academy already began marking its 25th anniversary. We bring you an overview of events in November.

15.11. – 1.12.2021 / “Module <System <Identification” Croatian National Theatre in Split’s Visual Identity System / EXHIBITION

Venue: Split, Croatian National Theatre’s atrium (Trg Gaje Bulata 1)

Time: the grand opening is November 15, 2021 at 6 p.m.; the exhibition will be opened weekdays 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon

 

November 18 - December 14, 2021 / Work, text, context (forms of collaborative practices) / EXHIBITION

Venue: Split, Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts’ Institute for Scientific and Artistic Work, Milesi Palace (Trg braće Radić 7)

Time: exhibition’s opening at 7 p.m.; it can be visited Monday to Saturday, 10 am - 1 pm and 5 - 8 pm

November 27, 2021 / the Department of Wind Instruments students’ concert / CONCERT

Venue: Split, Museum of the City of Split (Papalićeva ulica 1)

Time: 11 - 12 hours

November 29 - December 1, 2021 / Jerry Podany and McKenzie Lowry (USA): Earthquake Damage Mitigation for Collections / WORKSHOP

Venue: online event (conference platform Zoom)

Partner institution: Museum Documentation Centre, Zagreb

Note: The workshop is free and open to all interested, but registration is required. Application deadline November 21, 2021.
