The meeting “Analysis of the Competencies to be Acquired in Military Engineering and Military Leadership and Management study program” held on the island Mali Lošinj

On September 8-11, 2020, The Croatian Defence Academy “Dr. Franjo Tuđman” (HVU) convened a meeting in the barracks “Kovčanje” on the island Mali Lošinj to discuss “Analysis of the Competencies to be Acquired in Military Engineering and Military Leadership and Management study programme”.

The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Mayor of the Island of Mali Lošinj Anto Nedić, by the Professor Ivana Čuković-Bagić, PhD, Vice-rector for Students, Study Programmes and Quality Management of the University of Zagreb, by Professor Gordan Kardum, PhD, Vice-rector for Education of the University of Split and by the Commander of the Croatian Defence Academy Lieutenant General Mate Pađen.

The meeting prioritized the internal assessment of the quality assurance system, ensuring a focus on plans for organization and implementation of classes in the academic year 2019/2020 at the Croatian Defence Academy. This meeting identified views on undergraduate and graduate challenges by Associate Professor Merica Slišković at Faculty of Maritime Studies of the University of Split and by Professor Luka Mihanović, PhD, at The Croatian Defence Academy “Dr. Franjo Tuđman”.

Assistant Minister of the Croatian Ministry of Science and Education, Ms. Ivana Franić shared recommendations for higher education institutions on how to carry on with teaching and learning activities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Professor Gordan Kardum, PhD, Vice-rector for Education of the University of Split provided the implementing measures, experiences, and challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
