The award ceremony for promoting gender equality at the University of Split will take place on November 25, starting at 11am in the Senate Hall "Don Frane Bulić“ of the University, Ruđera Boškovića 31, 5th floor (University Library building).

Prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D., Rector of the University of Split, will give the welcoming address and awards will be presented in the following categories:
• organizing events that promote gender equality - winner: the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities in Split
• decision making that change policies in higher education institutions promoting gender equality - winner: the Faculty of Kinesiology in Split 
• scientific article that furthers the field of gender equality in the Republic of Croatia - winner: Assoc. Prof. Željko Mateljak Ph.D. 

As part of the awards ceremony, round table "The role of women in science and society" will take place. Prof. Đurđica Miletić Ph.D., Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of the University of Split and Head of the SEA-EU project, will moderate the discussion and other participants are: Assoc. Prof. Gloria Vickov Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities in Split, Prof. Damir Sekulić Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Kinesiology in Split, Prof. Leandra Vranješ Markić Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, and Assoc. Prof.  Željko Radić Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Legal Affairs and Human Resources Development, both from the University of Split, Višnja Grubišić from Brodosplit, DIV Group, Danica Baričević, President of the Commission for Gender Equality at the Split-Dalmatia County and Vesna Friedl, independent advisor for the Croatian Chamber of Commerce.

An example of good practice by the Faculty of Kinesiology in Split “How we included men in synchronized swimming” (experiences from students participating in the course) will also be presented.
