Ceremonial awarding of University of Split scholarships

The awarding ceremony of University of Split’s scholarships took place on March 16 in the Three Faculties Building’s large amphitheatre. It was attended by Vice-rector for teaching, students and business, prof. Nikola Koceić-Bilan Ph.D., president of the Student union, Jerko Šarić, and leaders of University's constituents. 136 scholarships were awarded for the period from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023, and annual amount of scholarship per student is € 1,274.16.

Choosing University of Split, you entrusted your education for future professions to us. It is up to us to fulfil your expectations, first of all, give you a quality education in accordance with latest scientific knowledge, competencies and skills required in the world market - Vice-rector Koceić-Bilan said, stressing that University's mission is to educate its students into full intellectuals.

As Vice-rector pointed out, these young people include future deans, lawyers, mayors, scientists and their social role is not just being good students, graduating from their faculties and finding jobs, but also to change and build our society.

The ceremony was musically enhanced by Split’s Art Academy 2nd year students of solo singing in the class of assoc. prof. art. Žana Marendić - Tina Matković and Filip Mikša, accompanied on piano by prof. Zoran Velić.
