Competition for the National Scholarship Program "Women in Science" 2023

Croatian UNESCO Commission, at the Ministry of Culture and Media, and L'Oreal Adria, sponsored by the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts as well as Republic of Croatia’s Rectors Conference, announced the competition for the National Scholarship Program "For Women in Science". Four Croatian female scientists will be awarded scholarships worth €5,000.

The competition is open until December 7, 2022, and all female scientists in the last year of their Ph.D. study, whose research has been reported to Croatian scientific institutions, can apply.

Application is open to female scientists who:

- are enrolled in doctoral studies in fields of natural sciences, medicine and healthcare, biotechnical sciences, and interdisciplinary fields of natural sciences,

-are in the last year of preparing their dissertations, conducted at scientific institutions in the Republic of Croatia,

- will not be older than 35 on the competition’s closing date (December 7, 2022),

- have not yet applied for L'Oreal-UNESCO National Scholarship Program "For Women in Science",

- are Croatian citizens, residing in the Republic of Croatia.

"For Women in Science" program’s Selection Committee, composed of distinguished Croatian scientists headed by academician Zvonko Kusić, will decide on scholarship winners among registered candidates.

All applications must contain a completed Application Form, available at https://bit.ly/3GkYggE and appropriate documentation (copies), as stated in the Rules of Competition, available at https://bit.ly/3AiAgqH. Applications are sent via Croatian Commission for UNESCO, at the Ministry of Culture and Media’s email (unescocro@min-kulture.hr), titled "Application for L'Oreal-UNESCO National Scholarship Program "For Women in Science", no later than midnight, December 7 2022.

Selection of scholarship recipients will be completed in April 2023.
