COVID-19 procedures at UNIST for exchange students

 

OCCURRENCE OF SYMPTOMS

TESTING

  • University Covid-19 centre contacts the relevant doctor, who decides on issuance of electronic referral, organises the testing with the Teaching Institute of Public Health and informs the student about it
  • In order to be tested, the student needs to provide a copy of their European Health Insurance Card / Health insurance policy (in case of non-EU citizens) and ID card
  • If the student tests positive, University Covid-19 centre informs the student and the University of Split via e-mail covid19@unist.hr
  • The student shall be asked by the epidemiologists to make a list of immediate contacts (when, where and how long the contact was, if they have full name and contacts). The contacts shall be informed about their isolation requirements.

ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS

Accommodation in student dorms

  • If a Covid-19 positive student is accommodated in the student dorm, they shall be transferred to an alternative accommodation and offered to be provided with meals from the student restaurant. For this purpose, student needs to have an active X-card. The cost of meals during isolation period shall be paid by the student upon isolation termination. In case the student X-card is not active during isolation period, they shall pay the price of 35.00 HRK per meal.

Food to the alternative accommodation is delivered once a day (around lunch-time) and can consist of 2 meals (lunch and dinner). Food delivery shall cost 15 HRK per delivery (food packaging included) and is to be paid by the student at the end of isolation period.

  1. Student notifies the dorm reception desk via e-mail if she/he wishes to have meals delivered from the student restaurant during isolation period. This e-mail needs to contain the following information: period from-to, mobile phone number, room number/location and X-card number. X card is to be delivered to the reception desk, with respect of epidemiologic measures.

Garbage and laundry accumulated during isolation period shall be placed in plastic bags and kept on the balcony. At the end of isolation period, the students shall take the laundry for washing in accordance with epidemiological measures, and take out the garbage to dispose of it in garbage containers.

Accommodation in private accommodation

  • If a Covid-19 positive student is accommodated in private accommodation and needs assistance during isolation, please contact the International Relations Office via +385914433871 and your ESN buddy. Food delivery services can be offered as described above.
