We thank all buyers who participated in the humanitarian auction of artworks of "University of Split and Split’s artists for Banovina" held on February 25 and 26 this year. We are happy and grateful that all participants recognized the importance of this project in which, together with Split’s artists, we successfully raised 121,500.00 HRK to help our students coming from earthquake-stricken area in Banovina.
Exhibition of artworks, on offer in the auction, was open to the public at the University Gallery "Vasko Lipovac" from February 16 to 26 and provoked positive reactions and great interest, measured by numerous visits, as well as virtual ones. Together with collected funds, that confirms that our citizens have a big heart and desire to participate in the cultural and humanitarian life of the city.
In addition to a prominent humanitarian atmosphere, this exhibition also offered an exceptional collection of artworks, bringing together Split and Croatia art scene's big names: Josip Botteri Dini, Ana Marija Botteri, Željko Bubalo, Ljubica Buble Dragojević, Mladen Čulić, Edvin Dragičević, Nikola Džaja, Kažimir Hraste, Stjepan Ivanišević, Ivan Listeš, Petar Jakelić, Robert Jozić, Kuzma Kovačić, Helena Mardešić Sikora, Zvonimir Mihanović, Matko Mijić, Dražen Pejković, Hrvoje Marko Peruzović, Velebit Restović, Dijana Iva Sesartić, Vjekoslav Stipica and Vice Tomasović.
We are honored by their selfless donation of works that, showing their trust in University of Split and its Gallery, made them co-creators of this art’s story with a noble goal.
The artworks’ auction and online bidding, organized for the first time, would not be possible without our partners Sistemi.hr and their IT support. The entire exhibition set up in the Gallery was also produced on TV Jadran, posted on websites and social networks. Dalmacija Papir was in charge of the print and visual identity of the exhibition catalog. We also thank the media that followed us from the beginning - Croatian Radio Television, Radio Split, Mreža TV and Split TV portal.
