Snježana Franetović, former president of the Inner Wheel Association, thanked the University of Split for co-organizing this exhibition, which aims to raise funds needed to cover the costs of accommodation, food, as well as legal and psychological assistance to victims of violence.
- Domine is the organization that has a counseling center for victims of violence located in Bosanska Street, but there is not a single house in the Split-Dalmatia County where such victims can take refuge - said Snježana Franetović.

On behalf of the University of Split, prof. Leandra Vranješ Markić Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation addressed-spoke to the present-assembled public:
- I am always glad to see the University of Split contributing to the development of a more equal, solidary and efficient society. Yesterday was Women’s Day and although we have made great historic progress, we still need to strive to achieve full equality for women in the world. Reading European Commission documents, I was stunned by the fact that every third women experiences some form of physical or sexual violence in her lifetime. Often we are not even aware of the violence all around us, but with this activity we as a university want to contribute to students and the public seeing that they have our support, to encourage them to seek help and that they will get it - said Vice-Rector Vranješ Markić.

The gallery exhibits 58 artworks donated by 50 artists, and the exhibition stays open until March 22.
