Presentation of scientific and professional development opportunities at US universities within the Fulbright and Hubert H. Humphrey programs during the academic year 2022/2023

The Public Relations Office of the American Embassy will present the bilateral Fulbright Program on June 1, 2022 at 2 pm in the Don Frane Bulić Hall at the University of Split. The program is intended for Croatian scientists and doctoral students who want to spend some study time at American universities or institutes. As part of the lecture, representatives of the Embassy will also present Humphrey fellowship program for Croatian experts, and Fulbright 's program intended to finance the arrival of American experts to Croatian institutions, the so-called Fulbright Specialist program as well as various tenders for funding programs of academic and non-profit institutions.


Fulbright Program Competition in the 2023/2024 academic year is open as follows:

  • FOREIGN STUDENT PROGRAM - pre-doctoral research for two semesters (9 months) - scholarships intended for applicants enrolled in a doctoral program in the Republic of Croatia at the time of application, the application deadline is May 30, 2022.
  • VISITING SCHOLAR PROGRAM - postdoctoral research for one or two semesters (4 to 9 months) - scholarships are intended for applicants holding a Ph.D. in their academic field of study at the time of application, the application deadline is September 1, 2022.


Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program scholarships for the 2023/2024 academic year are awarded to public and private sector applicants with a university degree, leadership experience and five years of work experience in one of the eligible areas (human and institutional capacity, rights and freedoms, sustainable land, thriving communities).
