The Public Relations Office of the US Embassy presented at the University of Split the possibility of applying for a scholarship under the Fulbright program for the academic year 2023-2024. The scholarships are funded by the Ministry of Science and Education, the Agency for Mobility and EU Programs and the Embassy of the United States of America in the Republic of Croatia.
On behalf of the University of Split, the participants were greeted by Prof Tomislav Kilić, PhD, Vice-Rector for Business, who emphasized the importance of enhancing scientific research and international cooperation, which is more and more pronounced in the work of the University of Split every year, which is seen in improved University’s ranking. He thanked the representatives of the US Embassy for the implementation of this activity, saying that through Fulbright scholarships we strengthen the cooperation of Croatian and American scientists and institutions.
Representatives of the Public Relations Office of the US Embassy said in their presentation that the Fulbright program offers the possibility of scholarships for research in doctoral studies and scholarships for postdoctoral research in higher education institutions in the US, for four to nine months, as well as scientific and professional training for public and private sector candidates at US universities.
“Fulbright Specialist Program" was also presented, offering Croatian academic and scientific institutions the opportunity to host American lecturers, scientists and experts for a period of 2 to 6 weeks.
Participants were informed about H. Humphrey Fellowship program designed for public and private sector professionals for 10 months of scientific and professional development at US universities.
Fulbright program enables fellows to make professional contacts with experts in the United States and to advance their scientific research through a widespread alumni community, and to gain international experience and promote mutual understanding and economic cooperation between the two countries.
