Signing agreements on financing student projects from non-competitive funds

University of Split Rector, prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D., President of University of Split’s Student Union, Tomislav Milošević and students responsible for project activities, on Tuesday, February 22, signed agreements on granting non-competitive funds provided by University of Split’s student enrolment fees in the academic year 2021/2022.

These are funds amounting to HRK 1,799,058.93, which according to University of Split’s Ordinance on distribution of funds from enrolment fees were allocated to finance 36 student projects in three areas:

- for culture, art and university media, the amount of HRK 573,356.56 from non-competitive funds is provided for implementing 20 received and approved projects,

- for student sports, HRK 612,846.68 is provided for implementing 5 received and approved projects,

- for science and technology, HRK 612,846.69 is provided for implementing 11 received and approved projects.

Assoc. prof. Željko Radić Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Legal Affairs, prof. Leandra Vranješ Markić Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, and Ivana Pletković, Head of Rector's Office attended the signing of agreements.

- Students are what makes our University an attractive and desirable place for obtaining education, the international scientific community recognizes us, as well as many foreign universities, thanks to them, also our scientists, professors and staff, and they all want to work with us - concluded Rector Ljutić.

Tomislav Milošević pointed out that this was an important day for students and the Student Union, because funding from non-competitive funds, meaning student associations, is the main driver of student activism.
