Opening of the exhibition by the academic painter Mirjana Petrin will be held on Wednesday, October 28, at 19:00 in the University Gallery "Vasko Lipovac". Curator Iris Slade, art historian, will present the exhibition in the company of the author.

14 works from the AB OVO cycle make up this exhibition.

Larger pieces are painted in acrylic on canvas. The exhibition and the cycle’s theme is the sea, primordial beginning. Along with paintings, the artist introduces a sound to suggest to the viewer taking a dive through the painting and thus into his or her depth. With a uniform sound, she intensifies transferring to the dimension of the origin - because everything came from water. The goal is to create a multidimensional experience with multimedia: from visual - watching, audio - listening to diving or plunging into.

The works are connected by a focus toward the intimate and the spiritual that encourages creation in interaction with the outside world. These works are selected from the exhibition held at the Hazu’s Glyptoteka in June 2017.

The exhibition remains open until November 15, 2020, and was realized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media as well as City of Split.
