The new Mayor’s first visit to the University of Split

On Monday, June 14, the City of Split Mayor, prof. Ivica Puljak Ph.D. made his first official visit to the University of Split, with his deputies Bojan Ivošević and Antonio Kuzmanić. Rector prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D. received them in the Senate Hall, together with vice-rectors prof. Tomislav Kilić Ph.D., prof. Leandra Vranješ Markić Ph.D., prof. Goran Kardum Ph.D., assoc. prof. Željko Radić Ph.D. and prof. Đurđica Miletić Ph.D., Secretary General Filip Klarić-Kukuz, Head of Rector’s Office Ivana Pletković, Head of Department for Financial Operations and Accounting Jelena Hrga and Marijan Bašić, Student Center’s Project Manager and Infrastructure Coordinator.

Rector Ljutić emphasized the University’s important role as a center of science and knowledge in our city and got the newly elected mayor acquainted with planned projects. Mayor Puljak commented on the University’s excellent results the and good placement on the world scientific rankings. During the meeting, both sides expressed desire to continue good cooperation between these two institutions as important basis for Split’s development.
