The University of Split is hosting a meeting of the SEA-EU Alliance Governing Board

The University of Split will host a meeting of the SEA-EU Governing Board, the main strategic body of the European University of the Seas Alliance, on Tuesday, December 15. Although a live meeting was previously planned, due to the epidemiological situation it will be held online.

At the meeting with leaders-leaderships of all six universities participating in the alliance, after introductory words-remarks by the University of Split’s Rector, prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D., leaders of all work packages will provide brief overviews of project activities over last six months. That will be followed by a more detailed overview of key activities, such as dissemination strategy, creating a cluster of researchers, inclusion of stakeholders, virtual mobility, creating joint programs and planning sustainable blue activities.

The key part of the meeting refers to the round table on: "Joint European diplomas: expectations and realistic barriers". In addition to rectors of all six universities, a representative of the SEA-EU Student Council Jan-Erik Stoltze, Ana Tecilazić Goršić on behalf of the Ministry of Science and Education and Maria Luisa Garcia-Minguez on behalf of the European Commission, are also expected to participate.

In the remaining part of the SEA EU Governing Board meeting, the Student’s Manifesto will be presented and new partners joining the alliance will be discussed.

Representing the University of Split, the following members of the Governing Body will attend the meeting: the Rector, prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D., Vice-rector prof. Đurđica Miletić Ph.D., student Roko Glavinović, as well as representatives of the Executive Board: Vice-rector prof. Leandra Vranješ Markić Ph.D. and prof. Mile Dželalija Ph.D.

University of Split is an equal member of SEA-EU, the transnational alliance connecting six universities. The goal of the alliance is to strengthen each university individually through cooperation and become a role model for others in improving quality, inclusiveness and competitiveness.
