Third meeting of scientists, experts and students on Environmental Protection in Croatia (ZORH) at KTF

The third meeting of scientists, experts and students on Environmental Protection in the Republic of Croatia (ZORH) took place April 28 and 29 at the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology in Split.

More than 150 participants attended this year's meeting, giving a plenary talk, 32 presentations and 34 posters; coming from Croatia and other countries: Slovakia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain, France, Germany, Poland and Malta. Their presentations covered current topics in environmental protection, both in Croatia and the world, waste management, wastewater treatment methods, marine pollution, remediation of soil treated with pesticides, air quality, waste as material, endangered species in nature and national parks, new technologies and environmental protection techniques, micro plastics, and impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the environment.

Students from University of Split’s Faculty of Chemistry and Technology, as well as those from Technical University of Kosice’s Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling, in cooperation with the European Universities of the Sea Alliance (SEA-EU) and the Croatian Society of Chemical Engineers and Technologists’ Student Section, organized the meeting.
