Ultra Europe Festival as University of Split’s teaching base

University of Split signed a cooperation agreement with (the company) MPG Live, which creates opportunity for University’s students to do their traineeship at one of the most attractive music events in Croatia and this part of Europe.

The Agreement was signed by prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D., University of Split’ Rector, and Joe Bašić, CEO and founder of MPG Live as well as director of Ultra Europe Music Festival, in the presence of prof. Ivan Pavić Ph.D., Head of Hotel Management and Gastronomy Study, Ivana Pletković, Head of Rector's Office, Filip Klarić-Kukuz, University’s General Secretary, Jelena Hrga, Head of Financial Operations and Accounting, and Marijan Bašić, Rector’s Adviser and Project Manager of the Student Centre Split.

Rector Ljutić expressed his satisfaction that this global brand became our University's teaching base (university-industry cooperation) and certainly one of the most significant, among over 300 of them, where university students gain practical knowledge and skills. He also pointed out that a company like this recognizing University's value shows an excellent direction of development and cooperation in the future.

- Given that Ultra takes place in Split, it makes sense to formalize cooperation with University of Split, opening opportunities for young people to get to know first-hand business processes that will benefit them in the future. Students who get to perform their traineeship with us will certainly bring new ideas and enthusiasm - said Joe Bašić.

- The Study of Hotel Management and Gastronomy provides part of students’ education in numerous teaching bases throughout Croatia. As of today, their list also includes Ultra, which I consider a privilege and added value in educating Hotel Management and Gastronomy students, prof. Ivan Pavić Ph.D., Head of the study said when he was signing the agreement.
