University of Split’s book of knowledge

The University of Split is taking big steps towards its future. The young and modern university, whose roots go back to the cradle of Croatian literacy, got its new logo. It unites this apparent contradiction of youth and old age. The matter is simple really. University of Split emerged from University of Zagreb and officially began its work in 1974. So, it is relatively young, but the influences that built it over the past five decades and knowledge accumulated for centuries make it old and experienced.

A sign called "History of the Croats" won the competition, but not the one by Meštrović, but by design studio "đkć", or Zoran Đukić and Neva Zidić.

It might be unclear to someone uninformed why even invest in the recognition of a public university. Those who know more about that have known for a long time that the first PR agency in the world’s, founded in 1900 in Boston, first client was Harvard University. Quality of Harvard is unquestionable, but with help of branding, Harvard is the dream of graduates, students and scientists all around the world (as well as their parents).

Although a classic firm and an educational institution have a lot points of contact when it comes to branding, a university’s brand carries with it the air of promise. What is for sure is that the University of Split can promise a lot. It already is warm home for thousands of students, who entering University of Split also open doors of eight other European universities. Rapid exchange of knowledge, inter-university and international scientific collaborations, several large infrastructure projects, a functioning university campus, student standard and sports. Modern, advanced, flexible, innovative, dynamic, open, European, recognizable... our University is all that and much more, and the story it wants to tell has only just begun.
