University of Split’s ‘Human Heart’ humanitarian action for MoSt continues

Human Heart of the University of Split humanitarian campaign, during which the Association’s hostel for the homeless’ users will receive dinner every week on Wednesdays, started again December 21. University’s representatives, vice-rector for students, teaching and business, prof. Nikola Koceić-Bilan Ph.D., vice-rector for science and quality, prof. Igor Jerković Ph.D. and Student Union representatives, students Marija Šarić and Tomislav Šoletić, handed out dinners prepared by the Student Centre to the users.

Mladen Božanić, head of Homeless Centre Split that currently has 34 users, expressed his satisfaction with continuing this campaign, which already proved to be really successful, given that all University’s components, departments and studies participate in it by financing users’ meals and University employees and students visiting their premises lodging and distributing food.

With this campaign, proposed by Rector, prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D., and unanimously accepted by the Senate, University wants to once again show that it initiates or actively participates in all social events in its local environment, including those that aim to help when it is most needed.
