In today's international academic environment, communication skills are becoming just as important as research excellence. While most researchers are confident in written communication, situations such as presenting research, participating in discussions, or networking activities in English often pose challenges.
SEA-EU Staff Week “Communicating in English for Research” is designed as a practical and interactive program intended for researchers.
Over three dynamic days, participants will have the opportunity to develop confidence and clarity in spoken academic English, improve research presentation skills, practice describing data (such as graphs and trends), and work on effective communication in situations like Q&A sessions and professional networking.
Alongside the formal program, informal socializing will provide opportunities for real-life communication practice in a relaxed environment.
This Staff Week is not just language training — it is an investment in skills crucial for an international academic career.
Date: 26-28 May 2026 / Location: Brest, France / Application deadline: 16 March 2026.
Participation is open to researchers from SEA-EU partner institutions. Mobility costs may be covered through the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility program.
Join us in Brest and enhance your academic communication skills! More information in the attached document, as well as at this link.
