The ERA SHUTTLE project, coordinated by University of Split, actively connects scientists and researchers with wider European Research Area (ERA), creating a bridge between the academic and non-academic sectors. This ambitious project enables staff mobility in structured secondments — temporary placements in partner institutions — with the aim of strengthening skills, knowledge transfer, and fostering intersectoral collaboration.
What does secondment bring?

• Support through organized administrative processes and funding
Who can apply?
Secondments are intended for all employees of University of Split and its components — both those with scientific and research titles, as administrative staff. Participating in the project offers opportunities to improve personal competencies, strengthen collaboration and contribute to developing institutional capacity with international experience.
Partner institutions for secondment?
ERA SHUTTLE includes international partners from industry and the academic sector. Eligible institutions include:
• Steinbeis Wissens und Technologietransfer GmbH (SWiTT), Germany
• CERIC-ERIC - Central European Research Infrastructure Consortium, (Italy / Slovenia / Romania)
• ASTP - Association of European Science & Technology Transfer Professionals, (Netherlands)
These organizations offer opportunities to gain experience in areas of technological transfer, innovation, managing research infrastructure and supporting scientific projects.
