University of Split, Faculty of Maritime Studies is hosting the Executive Board meeting of the International Association of Marine Universities, from 22 to 24 April 2026.
The Executive Board, headed by President Shan Hongjun (Dalian Maritime University, China) and Executive Director Takeshi Nakazawa, represents the highest governing body of the International Association of Marine Universities (IAMU), responsible for making strategic decisions, guiding the association’s development and coordinating its key activities.
As an active member of the International Association of Marine Universities, Split’s Faculty of Maritime Studies participates in strengthening international academic cooperation and developing modern maritime education.
During the meeting, the host presented organizational activities related to the 26th Annual Assembly of the International Association of Marine Universities (IAMU AGA 26), which will take place in Split, October 2026.
Hosting this meeting additionally confirms the role of Split’s Faculty of Maritime Studies in the international maritime academic community.
