On the same occasion, Minister Erlić and the Catholic Faculty of Theology’s Dean, assoc. prof. Šimun Bilokapić Ph.D., signed a Contract for allocation of funds from Ministry’s local programs.
We signed three contracts. One is for 1.7 million euros for FESB’s Interreg project, the second 1.4 million euros for FGAG’s Interreg project, and the third from our local programs, worth 40,000 euros, intended for Faculty library’s renovation. I congratulate University of Split and, of course, deans of faculties project leaders for their engagement in Interreg cross-border cooperation programs, as these programs enable international visibility, partnership with representative scientific institutions from Europe, and contribute to University of Split’s reputation, already recognized as a desirable partner in the international scientific and other communities, said Minister Erlić, announcing new projects with University of Split, the construction of a new student dormitory with 800 beds, an investment worth over 50 million euros in collaboration with Ministry of Science, Education, and Youth, as well as a health-sports complex to be financed in cooperation with Ministry of Tourism, in preparation for European University Games 2028.
The satisfaction with signed contracts and announcement of new projects was also evident from University’s Rector, prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D., who thanked Minister Erlić for attending, as this is the best indicator that Croatia’s Government continues to support University of Split in all its efforts to be the best it can and more recognizable in the international community. Rector also thanked Deans Lela and Torić for their efforts in University components to secure these valuable projects in a highly competitive and demanding evaluation process.
