On June 26, 2025, the University of Split hosted the first-ever online presentation intended for prospective incoming Erasmus students.
It was attended by some 170 participants from various countries, with the goal of providing key information related to arrival and stay in Split.
Josipa Bartulović, associate at Office for International and Interuniversity Cooperation, introduced students to basic information about University of Split, life and studying in Croatia, health insurance, regulating their stay, and available Croatian language courses. She also touched on other important topics related to organizing student life.
In the second part of the presentation, participants heard from Magdalena Kalinić, president of ESN Split. She presented the role of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) in lives of international students, numerous activities that help integration, and new ESN guide designed to help students find private accommodation in Split.
A special guest of the presentation was Erasmus student Fernando Alvarado, currently studying at University of Split. He shared personal experience of studying and living in Split, providing future students with valuable first-hand insights.
Future Erasmus students posed numerous questions about daily life, administrative procedures, and opportunities offered by Erasmus experience in Split.
This presentation is an example of good practice in informing and preparing international students, and thanks to the positive atmosphere and openness of speakers, participants received all necessary information to better prepare for their arrival in Split.
