Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts’ Department of Medical Sciences, L’Oréal Adria and Croatian Commission for UNESCO, at Republic of Croatia’s Ministry of Culture and Media, organized the First "For Women in Science" Symposium, announcing the competition for L'Oréal - UNESCO National program "For Women in Science", for the year 2025.
National Program "For Women in Science," organized by L’Oréal Adria and Croatian Commission for UNESCO at Ministry of Culture and Media, was established in 2006, modelled on the international program. Since then, every year, four young Croatian female scientists in final stages of obtaining PhDs in natural sciences, including interdisciplinary fields, receive recognition valued at 5,000 euros. The program "For Women in Science" rewards best Croatian female scientists, thereby encouraging development of education, culture and science. It not only provides financial support for scientific careers of young female scientists but also affirms Croatian science and female scientists on both national and global levels.
