Committee for Awarding State Prizes for Science made a decision for the year 2023, honouring four scientists from University of Split.
Lifetime Achievement Award in the field of biomedicine and health was awarded to prof. Matko Marušić Ph.D., professor emeritus, retired, from University of Split’s School of Medicine. Annual award for science in the field of social sciences to Toni Modrić Ph.D. from University of Split’s Faculty of Kinesiology, while annual awards for young scientists went to University of Split’s Mateo Glumac Ph.D. from School of Medicine, in the field of biomedicine and health, and assist. prof. Ivan Buljan Ph.D. from Faculty of Humanities, in the field of social sciences.
A total of 29 scientific awards were granted for the year 2023 in categories: lifetime achievement award, annual science award, annual award for popularization and promotion of science, and the annual award for young scientists.
