On March 26, at University of Split’s Department of Professional Studies, Split Chamber of Commerce and University Department of Professional Studies hosted a signing ceremony for the implementation of the PlanStart 2025 project, which directly connects small entrepreneurs and students in creating business plans.
Split Chamber of Commerce and the University Department have been conducting the PlanStart project for nine years, with the aim of strengthening connection between economic and educational sectors, specifically, regional entrepreneurs and Department’s students—by having students develop business plans for companies selected through a public call.
"You students, who have volunteered to participate in the project, are already demonstrating entrepreneurial inclinations and interests, embracing challenges; among you lie the future leaders in entrepreneurship," said Joze Tomaš, President of Split’s Chamber of Commerce, in his address.
Petar Pepur Ph.D., Head of University Department of Professional Studies, also expressed satisfaction with the long-standing successful collaboration and the project.
"This year again, in partnership with Split Chamber of Commerce, our goal is to provide students the opportunity to validate themselves in practice and contribute to developing Croatian entrepreneurship," Pepur said.
According to him, several hundred students participated in the project so far, and feedback has been extremely positive, making this project a good example of how education and practice can go hand in hand, creating tangible results for all involved.
