On February 27 and 28, 2024, in Zenica (BiH), there was the presentation and kick-off meeting of the project SMEQA - Strengthening Capacities and Mechanisms for Enhancement of Quality Assurance System in Higher Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina, project holder being University of Zenica and University in Split one of its 19 partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia.

On behalf of University of Split, the meeting in Zenica was attended by: prof. Mile Dželalija Ph.D., dean of Faculty of Science in Split, also coordinator of SMEQA project activities at our University, prof. Jadranka Garmaz Ph.D., from Catholic Faculty of Theology in Split and Doris Žuro, mr. soc., head of that faculty’s projects department.

The main goal of SMEQA project is establishing mechanisms for improving quality of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina. University of Split’s role as a partner is to contribute to successful implementation of project activities and knowledge transfer of good quality assurance practices in higher education.

The project is financed by the European Commission, through Erasmus+ program, in the amount of € 936 thousand.
