May 8-10, 2024, at University of Split, the interdisciplinary student congress of science and sports, ST-CongreSS, took place, gathering almost 400 participants from Croatia and eight SEA-EU countries.
First day ended with student presentations on blue economy. Second day, dedicated to healthy life, took place at School of Medicine and in Bačvice, with lectures by Emily Wiley (Fulbright scholarship), Ivana Kolčić (School of Medicine), Toni Modrić (Faculty of Kinesiology) and the session "Healthy Sleep for a Healthy Life." Afternoon included student presentations and poster walk.
Third day was marked by SEA-EU sports and humanitarian event on sports fields in front of Spinit Incubator, with more than 100 students from partner universities. University of Split, the host, won the team victory. The congress ended with the donation of a special electric wheelchair to young athlete Kristina Zrinka Kožul.
ST-CongreSS was successfully organized with joint efforts of SEA-EU team, Department for International Cooperation, UniSport, School of Medicine, Faculties of Kinesiology and Economics, coordinated by Vice-rector prof. Zoran Đogaš.
Suited for a combination of science and sports, the congress’s atmosphere was active and fun.
