University of Split, University Department of Forensic Sciences, and Croatian Firefighting Community (CFC) organized a lecture by Peter Faulding, international expert in specialized rescue operations, underwater searches, and forensic investigations. This eminent speaker visited the Department on February 26, and was introduced by Prof. Damir Piplica Ph.D., head of University Department of Forensic Sciences. Alongside Department’s professors and students, the lecture was attended by Dino Kozlevac, CFC’s Vice President as well as other members, Ivan Kovačević, Commander of Split public fire brigade, its personnel, members of Ministry of the Interior and Civil Protection.
Peter Faulding is the founder and managing director of Specialist Group International (SGI), an organization engaged in complex search and rescue operations, forensic analysis, and underwater searches. During the lecture, Faulding shared his extensive experience in combining various methods of specialized rescue and forensic investigations, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among experts from different disciplines.
