Mapping Dalmatia region’s blue economy stakeholders - OTIMEDT Initiative

Goals

University of Split just finished mapping stakeholders from the area of ​​blue economy in Dalmatia, created as part of OTIMEDT Initiative ("Exchanging technological innovations in blue economy between regions of Dalmatia and Tronderlag").
Main goal of the Initiative is to establish bilateral cooperation between blue economy stakeholders between the region of Tronderlag (Norway) and Dalmatia (Croatia).
This mapping will be basis for organizing bilateral events (virtual and live) between stakeholders in both regions in order to increase possible cooperation and exchange of experiences and best practices in the field of blue economy.
About report on mapping blue economy stakeholders in Dalmatia
This report provides an overview of the stakeholders in the ocean technology ecosystem in the Dalmatia region. In addition to companies, the report also covers regional R&D environments and laboratory infrastructure, networks, forums and public actors.
Companies that develop and sell marine and maritime technology
In Dalmatia, we have identified 119 companies in the blue economy ecosystem. These companies had a total revenue of EUR 526.67 million and have 4,569 employees as of 2022. In the report, 72 identified companies are located in Split-Dalmatia County, while remaining 47 are located in municipalities along Dalmatia coast (counties of Zadar, Šibenik-Knin, Dubrovnik-Neretva).
