On May 22, the University Department of Health Studies celebrated its day with a formal session of its Professional Council. On that occasion, Department’s acting head prof. Irena Drmić Hofman Ph.D. presented the report on implemented activities in the previous academic year, thanking her predecessor, Prof. Stipan Janković Ph.D., who founded, successfully headed the Department and achieved remarkable results.

Drmić Hofman also noted big interest in enrolling in all courses offered at the Department, and that their students usually have high grade point average. Number of students drop out is less than 3 percent, significantly lower than entire University’s average. Department’s employees also participated in and organized activities related to specialized schools, continuing education courses, and similar.

Asst. prof. Antonela Matana Ph.D., assistant to head for science and international cooperation, pointed out that many Department scientists publish papers in highly indexed journals in Scopus and WoS databases.
