New Faculty of Maritime Studies in Split’s ERASMUS+ project - MareLaw

Another ERASMUS+ project starts at the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Split. It is called Upgrading and harmonization of Maritime law STCW based curriculum for Maritime students - MareLaw, led by assoc. prof. Nikola Mandić Ph.D., in which, apart from University of Split, Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (Spain) and Latvijas Jūras Akademije, as part of Rīgas Tehniska Universitätė (Latvia), will also participate.

Implementing the project, partners will prepare guidelines for creating the curriculum of maritime law subjects for colleges, universities, in accordance with the STCW convention, prepare digital teaching materials together with exercise questions, and self-evaluation forms to be used when learning maritime law, and especially develop professional and digital competences of professors in attending certified courses. This aims to increase quality and capacity of maritime institutions of higher education and ensure a uniform level of qualification for seafarers.

The MareLaw project lasts 24 months and is co-financed by the Erasmus+ program funds, Key Activity 2: Partnerships for cooperation (in higher education).
