A workshop intended for potential applicants in HRZZ’ research projects within the competition IP-2022-10 was held

Organized by University of Split’s Office for Science, together with the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ), there was a workshop for potential research projects applicants within the competition IP-2022-10.

Prof. Leandra Vranješ Markić Ph.D., University of Split Vice-rector for science and innovation, greeted numerous gathered scientists.

- We are happy to see that we have gathered in such a large number, meaning that Croatian Science Foundation’s projects are the basis of developing scientific research at the University, and realize the goals of our Scientific Strategy. These goals are ambitious because we want to increase funds for scientific research, by 50 percent, and increase the number of young researchers, by 30 percent, and in this sense, funding by way of Foundation will certainly be of great help to us - Vice-Rector Vranješ Markić pointed out.

Žaklina Vidović and Monika Marinović, HRZZ scientific projects and programs coordinators, introduced everyone who was present to competition terms and method of implementation, after which participants had the opportunity to ask questions.

Apart from the Foundation’s employees, prof. Janoš Terzić Ph.D. from the Split’s School of Medicine, participated in the workshop as a member of HRZZ’ panel and gave an overview of the process of evaluating applications for research projects. Prof. Ivana Novak Nakir Ph.D., also a scientist from Split’s School of Medicine, presented her experience of applying for and implementing a project financed by the Foundation.
