The University of Split is strongly moving forward, evidenced by its great success on the WURI ranking ("World's Universities with Real Impact"), for the third year in a row, indicating university's real contribution to society and highlighting creative and innovative approaches to university research and education.

The University of Split, as the only Croatian university on this ranking, competed in two categories; Ethical values and Fourth Industrialization. In Ethical Values, University of Split, with its good practice example - Socially useful learning - was ranked as the world’s eighteenth university, and thirty-second in the Fourth Industrialization category.

In the context of Ethical Values, real contribution and exchange of social responsibility, ethics and integrity are taken into account. In our good practice examples, activities in this area were presented, including initial projects, developing the Centre for Socially Useful Learning and organizing the international scientific-professional conference that recently took place in Split.

This year, the University participated in the ranking’s category Fourth Industrialization with good practice of establishing the Bluedih digital innovation centre. This centre brings together key research institutions in Dalmatia, supporting institutions and companies with the aim of implementing advanced digital technologies in the blue economy sector. Establishing this centre was one of the tasks in University of Split’s strategy that was meant to network relevant stakeholders and realize a successful green and digital transition of the region’s economy.
