Open applications for 3rd Being SEA-EU conference in Gdańsk!

Join us for the 3rd edition of the conference Being SEA-EU, which will take place September 15-17, 2026, in Gdańsk.

Call for abstract submissions for the third Being SEA-EU is open until April 30, 2026.

To apply, each candidate must register and submit an abstract via official Being SEA-EU website. Applicants can choose one of following participation formats: poster, oral or online presentation.

Unlike previous editions, the third Being SEA-EU conference will accept abstracts aligned with one of the five thematic areas specific to SEA EU. Science remains the conference’s focus, so researchers from wide range of scientific fields are encouraged to submit abstracts related to one of following topics:

• European classroom
• United in research
• Institutional transformation
• Sustainability and European goals

If an abstract is accepted, participants will be invited to submit additional information and officially confirm their attendance in Gdańsk in order to complete registration. This year as well, the University of Split will fund 6 conference participants with project funds.

June 15, 2026: Review results announced

June 15 - August 30, 2026: Final confirmation of participation and open registration for all participants

June 30, 2026: Preliminary program

September 6, 2026: Final program

September 15 - 17, 2026: Being SEA-EU Conference
