University of Split School of Medicine organized the 11th Pliva School of Pharmacy Care, September 6-7. It was the leading summer regional gathering of pharmacists, with around 220 participants from the entire region.
During full two days, the school offered workshops in fields of pharmacy care and clinical pharmacy, based on solving practical case studies. Specialists in clinical pharmacy and experts in pharmacy care from all over Croatia participated in this year's Pliva School. Workshops and lectures focused on topics such as anxiolytics and antidepressants, dermatological issues in the elderly, biological changes involved in aging, heart failure, osteoporosis, and more. The school was sponsored by PLIVA, which supports education of pharmacists and their efforts to keep up with European and global trends in pharmacy and pharmacy care.
