The SEA-EU Task 4.3 Expert Meeting took place at University of Split on September 23-24, 2025, with the main goal of consolidating and coordinating activities related to Deliverable D4.2 - Report on the SEA-EU Digital Transition.
During two intensive days, participants focused on topics shaping the SEA-EU Alliance’s digital transformation. Special attention was given to Digital Competence Framework 2.0, designed to help students and staff strengthen their digital skills and adapt to challenges of modern higher education. Closely linked to this was developing the AI Charter, which will define a set of common principles to ensure ethical, responsible, and value-based use of artificial intelligence.
Equally important was the Report on the Digital Transition, a fundamental document aimed at showcasing the Alliance's progress in terms of digitalization, as well as outlining future steps. Discussions also focused on digital internships, a model that enables students to gain valuable international experience in a flexible, online environment. Additionally, partners explored the potential of European Digital Credentials (EDC), recognizing their importance in promoting academic mobility and simplifying recognition of qualifications across borders.
Besides colleagues gathered in Split, partners from Cádiz, Kiel, and UBO participated virtually, contributing to joint efforts to enhance the SEA-EU’s digital agenda.
After long but productive work sessions, participants got to enjoy an entertaining educational tour of Split, led by the charming Rozana. Along with many fascinating historical facts and stories about the city, the group experienced the local spirit and humor. An unforgettable lesson about Split’s culture was captured in Rozana’s words: “Dear guests, I hope you will remember - in Split, all doors open with only one password: I LOVE HAJDUK!”
This cultural experience provided a refreshing break from work topics, allowing participants to connect on a personal level and learn more about Split’s rich history and spirit. It demonstrated that professional achievements and cultural exchange can go hand in hand, reminding everyone of the importance of finding the right balance between intense work and socializing.
