University of Split hosted "SEA-EU Mobility Staff Week: Pathfinder", October 22-24, 2024, an event that gathered experts from SEA-EU Alliance’s international cooperation offices.
Launching and fine-tuning mobility initiatives
The first session, "Fine-tuning the SEA-EU Mobility Handbook," focused on challenges in organizing international mobility. Moderators Severine Allain (University of Brest) and Ana Ćosić (University of Split) led a discussion on ways to improve students’ language preparation before their exchange and on enhancing introductory activities at SEA-EU Alliance universities, to make them more accessible and appealing to foreign students.
KPIs and Framework for Measuring Mobility
The second day began with a discussion on key performance indicators (KPIs) for mobility programs. Moderators Quentin Sohet and Severine Allain discussed measures, both qualitative and quantitative, that can be used to assess the success of mobility in promoting internationalization and higher education transformation.
Following a coffee break, prof. Zoran Đogaš Ph.D. presented a proposal for introducing the Mobility Credit Transfer System (MCTS) within the Alliance. This proposal aims to facilitate and standardize credit transfer process between partner universities. The plan is to present the proposal at Malta SEA-EU Governing Week.
Strategic Planning and Inclusivity in Mobility
The final session focused on mobility of students with disabilities, following the previous "Staff Week on Inclusion", which took place at University of Western Brittany. Session leader, Severine Allain, prompted a discussion on adapting mobility programs to make them more accessible and attractive to students with disabilities.

“SEA-EU Mobility Staff Week: Pathfinder" was an extremely productive event that brought together experts from SEA-EU Alliance in order to discuss key challenges and opportunities for improving mobility within European universities. In constructive discussions, participants addressed important topics, such as language barriers, inclusion, and adaptations for students with disabilities, laying the groundwork for further projects and initiatives.
