Three days of intense discussions, innovative ideas, and excellent collaboration - all that in the beautiful city of Split, Mediterranean’s gem. From February 25 to 27, 2025, academic professionals gathered at University of Split’s Faculty of Economics to share experiences and define key steps to launch the joint master's program STORM.
Tuesday began with a warm welcome from representatives of Split’s SEA-EU office, professors Slađana Pavlinović Mršić and Kim Waechtler, who led the three-day program. STORM Staff Week was crucial for setting final guidelines before program's launch in autumn.
Wednesday started with a review of previous day's conclusions, preparing ground for a series of interesting sessions. Focus was on the Moodle platform — as participants explored its functionalities and progress achieved in adapting it for the program STORM.
Last day was reserved for academic working groups which finalized syllabi and teaching materials, discussing about innovative pedagogical methods. Important topics, such as accreditation, funding, and teaching logistics—key elements for successful launch of STORM—were also on the agenda. Colleagues from Gdańsk brought special joy, bringing donuts to celebrate "Tłusty Czwartek" (Fat Thursday), a Polish tradition that is supposed to bring good luck and a successful year.
Conclusion
SEA-EU STORM Staff Week was much more than an ordinary meeting — it was a place of creative ideas, collaboration, and future planning. There was laughter, some dancing, and even heated discussions, but in the end, everyone found common ground and agreed on key goals.
