SEA-EU Workshop: Generative AI in Research – Critical, Responsible and Applied

As part of activities within the SEA-EU Alliance, University of Malta is organizing an online workshop “Generative AI in Research: Critical, Responsible and Applied”, aimed at researchers and academic staff from partner universities, including the University of Split.

The workshop is designed to provide participants with practical skills and conceptual understanding of the applying generative AI in research. In practical demonstrations and interactive tasks, participants will learn how to critically evaluate results of generative AI tools, how to identify ethical and methodological challenges, and apply principles of responsible AI use in line with EU guidelines.

The workshop will be led by Prof. Leonard Busuttil, and the program will include examples of applying generative AI in different phases of research.

· Time: 09:00 - 12:00 CEST

· Duration: two sessions of three hours each (6 hours in total)

The workshop is open to researchers and academic staff of partner institutions within SEA-EU.
