On June 5 and 6, in Trondheim, Norway, second bilateral meeting of blue economy stakeholders from regions Trøndelag (Norway) and Dalmatia (Croatia) took place as part of OTIMEDT Initiative, "Exchange of technological innovations in the blue economy between the region of Dalmatia and Trøndelag". Initiative’s main goal is the establishing bilateral cooperation among stakeholders in blue economy from regions Trøndelag and Dalmatia.
As part of the event’s first day, Trondheim Tech Week took place at the same time, including "Ocean day", on "Infrastructure and cooperation - Increasing innovations in marine technology", where expert advisor for OTIMEDT’s implementation, Petar Roje, presented the project to the audience, activities carried out so far and remaining activities planned for initiative’s duration.
After introductory presentation, OTIMEDT project stakeholders attended lectures by two blue economy clusters from Trøndelag region, where Frode Halvorsen, Ocean Autonomy cluster’s manager, and Karl Thyholt, Aquatech cluster’s project manager, presented their organizations. Afterwards, there was a workshop on "Digital transformation and improving skills in the field of blue economy", led by Anne Grete Ellingsen, EDIH Oceanopolis’ project manager.
By the end of the initiative, there are plans to create Market Exchange Report that will provide insight into current market situation for regions Dalmatia and Trøndelag in the area of blue economy, which will significantly increase possibility of future cooperation between these regions.
